ARM Automation Origins – Modular Robots to DISC Motors
An overview of the “early years” at ARM Automation, Inc.
ARM was originally founded in 1993 to commercialize modular robotic technology first developed in concept at UT Austin. Over a period of almost 10 years, ARM engineers developed and built many custom robotic systems and motion control solutions using this modular approach and derivative DISC (Distributed Intelligent Servo Controller) products.
